Sri Lanka will face New Zealand in the third and final T20I of the three-match series at the P Sara Oval in Colombo on Wednesday, July 12. The White Ferns have already sealed the series by gaining an unassailable (2-0) lead over the Islanders.

Speaking of the second T20I between the two sides, Lea Tahuhu shined for New Zealand in their last match against Sri Lanka. Tahuhu picked a brilliant four-fer for her side and gave away just 21 runs. Among batters, Suzie Bates contributed with a brilliant fifty for the visitors in the run chase. On the other hand, Hasini Perera was the top-scorer for the hosts, but her efforts went in vain as the Sri Lankan bowlers failed to defend the target set by their batters.

New Zealand will now look to continue their dominance and finish things off with a win when they next meet Sri Lanka on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Islanders will be determined to avoid the whitewash against visitors.

Pitch Report:

The pitch at P Sara Oval in Colombo will maintain a balanced nature throughout the game. However, the spinners are expected to have the upper hand compared to batters. The team winning the toss will look to bowl first with the intention of limiting the opponent to a low score.

Dream11 Prediction:

  • Wicketkeepers: Anushka Sanjeewani, Bernadine Bezuidenhout
  • Batters: Suzie Bates
  • All-rounders: Chamari Athapaththu (c), Amelia Kerr (vc), Sophie Devine , Kavisha Dilhari, Leigh Kasperek
  • Bowlers: Inoka Ranaweera, Lea Tahuhu, Eden Carson

Probable XI

Sri Lanka: Chamari Athapaththu (c), Vishmi Gunaratne, Harshitha Samarawickrama, Nilakshi de Silva, Anushka Sanjeewani (wk), Kavisha Dilhari, Hasini Perera, Sugandika Kumari, Inoshi Priyadharshani, Inoka Ranaweera, Udeshika Prabodhani

New Zealand: Suzie Bates, Bernadine Bezuidenhout (wk), Amelia Kerr, Sophie Devine (c), Maddy Green, Georgia Plimmer, Brooke Halliday, Leigh Kasperek, Lea Tahuhu, Eden Carson, Fran Jonas

Match Prediction:

Case 1:

  • SL wins the toss and bowls first
  • Powerplay score: 30-35
  • NZ total: 130-140

Case 2:

  • NZ wins the toss and bowls first
  • Powerplay score: 25-30
  • SL total: 120-130

Team bowling first to win the contest.
