Earlier than submitting the lawsuit towards the Toronto Raptors, James Dolan stepped down from his roles on the league’s Board of Governors’ influential advisory/finance and media committees, as per a memo obtained by ESPN.
“Given all that has occurred currently, I’ve come to the conclusion that the NBA neither wants nor desires my opinion,” Dolan wrote in a July memo to Silver that he copied to the opposite 29 league house owners.
Dolan let Adam Silver and his colleagues know that he would not be attending Board of Governor conferences, and now Knicks basic counsel Jamaal Lesane is representing the franchise in these conferences.
“My hope is that the Knicks can be handled equally and pretty as all different NBA groups,” Dolan stated within the memo. “… As , I’m very busy with all my duties at MSG household of firms. I would like to use my time the place I will be best.”
