Stats Carry out has introduced 30 finalists for the 2023 Walter Payton Award, given yearly to the nationwide offensive participant of the yr in Division I FCS school football.

The award, first offered in 1987 and in its thirty seventh season, is called for legendary operating again Walter Payton, who starred at Jackson State as a part of his Corridor of Fame profession. Affectionately generally known as the Heisman of the FCS, its previous recipients embrace Steve McNair, Tony Romo, Brian Westbrook, Jimmy Garoppolo, Cooper Kupp and Trey Lance.
