Actor from Original Series Joins New Big Bang Theory Spin-off
John Ross Bowie, known for his roles in “The Rookie” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” has been cast in the upcoming spin-off of the popular sitcom “The Big Bang Theory.” This news was recently confirmed by entertainment industry sources.
In the original series, Bowie portrayed Dr. Barry Kripke, a theoretical physicist with questionable ethics who often rivaled Sheldon Cooper. The spin-off, which was first announced in spring 2023, initially provided little information about its content. However, it has since been revealed that the show will focus on Stuart (Kevin Sussman), the comic book store owner, his colleague and love interest Denise (Lauren Lapkus), and geologist Bert (Brian Posehn).
“The Big Bang Theory” aired from 2007 to 2019, garnering critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase. The show received an 8.1 out of 10 rating on IMDb and an 8.6 out of 10 on Kinopoisk. From 2017 to 2024, a prequel spin-off titled “Young Sheldon” also aired, which has now spawned its own spin-off series.
