Natus Vincere`s CS2 captain, Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen, stated that the roster must secure a high placing in upcoming tournaments to prevent potential changes to the lineup. He expressed this sentiment in an interview conducted before the start of PGL Astana 2025, which was published on the organizers` channel.
We need to be as focused as possible in the last two tournaments. We understand that we need to show a result right now, otherwise, something will most likely happen. That`s normal. I`ve been on different teams and I know that NAVI wants to win. We still have two tournaments to show what we are capable of. I feel the pressure has eased a bit, but at the same time, I wouldn`t say this is the `last dance` and we need to do something right now. This is the last chance to show NAVI what we are capable of and prove to ourselves that we are still the same NAVI team as last year.
PGL Astana 2025 is currently underway in Kazakhstan from May 10 to 18. Sixteen teams are competing for a total prize pool of $1.25 million, with half of this amount allocated for distribution among the participating organizations. NAVI began the tournament with two consecutive wins and are scheduled to face The Mongolz in their upcoming match for a spot in the playoffs.
