Amazon’s Tomb Raider Series Production Paused After Sophie Turner Injury

Production on Amazon Prime Video’s highly anticipated “Tomb Raider” series has been temporarily halted. The pause comes after Sophie Turner, who is set to portray the iconic adventurer Lara Croft, sustained a minor injury.

While details surrounding the incident, including whether the injury occurred on set, have not been disclosed, an official statement addressed the situation: “Sophie Turner recently sustained a minor injury. As a precautionary measure, production has briefly paused to allow her time to recover. We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible.”

The hiatus is expected to last approximately two weeks, with all cast and crew members continuing to receive pay during this period. Since Amazon has yet to announce an official release date or window for the “Tomb Raider” series, this temporary production pause is not anticipated to cause a significant delay for viewers awaiting the show. We extend our best wishes to Sophie Turner for a swift and full recovery; after all, those ancient tombs aren’t going to raid themselves.
