Anane Stops Carrillo with Three Knockdowns to Claim ONE Title

In a stunning display of striking power, Nabil Anane defeated Nico Carrillo in their ONE Championship fight in Bangkok, Thailand. Anane secured the interim bantamweight Muay Thai world title with a first-round TKO victory.

Fighting at a packed Impact Arena, the 20-year-old Anane faced a formidable opponent in Carrillo, who was on a 15-fight win streak. However, Anane quickly took control of the bout.

From the start, Anane used his reach effectively, landing sharp strikes and overwhelming Carrillo. A powerful right hand sent Carrillo to the canvas for the first knockdown. Moments later, a head kick resulted in a second knockdown. Despite Carrillo getting back to his feet, Anane unleashed a barrage of punches, sending him down for the third and final time, ending the fight with 25 seconds left in the first round.

With this impressive TKO win, Anane extends his winning record and claims a $50,000 bonus. He is now set to face Superlek Kiatmoo9 in a title unification match at ONE 172 in Japan.

In another fight, Freddie Haggerty from England demonstrated resilience against Jordan Estupinan, a newcomer from Colombia. Haggerty, moving up in weight, started aggressively, but Estupinan used stance switches and kicks to keep him at bay.

In the second round, Estupinan’s powerful right hand knocked Haggerty down twice. Haggerty continued to fight hard in the third round, targeting Estupinan’s body and head. However, Estupinan withstood the attacks and won the fight by unanimous decision after three rounds.
