Esports organization BCGame has issued a statement regarding the allegations of skin theft against their CS2 team player, Joakim `jkaem` Myrbostad. The club`s statement was shared on social media.
While BCGame stated they were not involved in the events, they are taking the matter seriously. They emphasized that they do not condone such behavior but believe in giving individuals a second chance if they take responsibility for their actions. Following discussions with jkaem, the organization confirmed that he has fully admitted his guilt and agreed to a plan to fulfill his financial obligations.
Because the incident occurred before jkaem joined BCGame, the organization has decided to support him in resolving the situation. However, they stated that if he fails to meet the agreed-upon terms and compensate the affected party, they will take necessary actions.
BCGame is encouraging anyone affected by this situation to contact them directly with relevant evidence so they can assist jkaem in revising his repayment plan.
The accusations against jkaem surfaced earlier when a user on X (formerly Twitter) claimed to have lent cosmetic items to Myrbostad for his participation in the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. Subsequently, the user alleged that the esports player lost the skins through gambling and for a year ignored the victim, offering excuses and promises of repayment that were never fulfilled. Ultimately, jkaem has taken responsibility for the lost skins and pledged to compensate for the damages.
