Are you looking to enhance your putting performance this season? Then you’ve come to the right place. While putters come in various designs, mallet putters are often the preferred choice for many amateur golfers.
The selection of a putter is a deeply personal decision. As golf technology continues to advance, 2026 introduces an impressive array of innovative mallet putter designs.
Mallet putters are generally known for their larger profiles and increased forgiveness compared to their blade counterparts. Their superior alignment features also make them an excellent option if you’re struggling to find consistency on the greens.
To help you navigate the latest offerings, we’ve compiled a list of the top mallet putters for 2026, along with our expert insights on each model. Here’s what we found…
Top Mallet Putters for 2026
Sausage Golf Boudin Noir Putter

This putter offers exceptional adaptability, allowing golfers to adjust the shaft position at the base of the head to achieve face balance, toe hang, or zero torque. While the concept is innovative and caters to players who frequently like to change their putter style, the adjustment process can be a bit intricate and the price point is on the higher side.
- Highly versatile
- Suitable for both left and right-handed players
- Excellent setup behind the ball
- Adjusting the shaft position is somewhat fiddly
- Comes with a premium price tag
Odyssey Ai-DUAL Jailbird Mini ½ Ball Putter

As one of Odyssey’s many 2026 releases, the Ai-DUAL Jailbird Mini ½ Ball Putter features a distinctive half-ball design that effectively frames the ball, significantly improving alignment and centralizing putts. The putter delivers a remarkably soft and quiet feel off the face. Its AI-DUAL Insert intelligently blends a soft outer layer with a firmer inner layer, ensuring consistent ball speed across the entire face. This is further enhanced by the new, deeper FRD Groove, designed for improved forward roll with a noticeable texture.
- Exceptional alignment aid
- Soft and quiet feel upon impact
- Promotes a smooth feel and consistent roll
- None noted
Odyssey S2S Tri-Hot #7 Putter

Simply put, this is an outstanding putter. It’s likely to convert even the most skeptical zero-torque enthusiasts. Odyssey has masterfully combined classic aesthetics with modern performance, resulting in a premium feel. If you’re already a fan of the #7 shape or seeking a putter that offers confident alignment, exceptional roll, and consistent feel, the Odyssey S2S Tri-Hot #7 should be high on your testing list.
- Remarkably stable and forgiving
- Excellent feel and consistent roll
- Premium finish
- The red design might not appeal to everyone
Odyssey S2S Tri-Hot Jailbird Putter

The Odyssey S2S Tri-Hot Jailbird is more than just an update; it’s a refinement that makes zero-torque putting accessible to everyone. It boasts the right look, feel, and performs beautifully. If you’ve been curious about face-balanced or torque-free designs but found their appearance off-putting, this model is designed to win you over. Expect to see this putter frequently on tour next season; it’s arguably Odyssey’s finest Square to Square Jailbird yet.
- Offers a traditional, confidence-inspiring aesthetic
- Consistent roll and excellent pace control across the face
- Premium feel
- Its heavier head might not suit golfers who prefer a lighter touch on the greens
Odyssey S2S Tri-Hot Rossie Putter

Odyssey has built upon the success of its Square-to-Square line with the new Tri-Hot Rossie, a zero-torque putter that delivers tour-quality looks, feel, and performance. In a market where LAB Golf is prominent, Odyssey’s design team has crafted a putter for players who desire the stability of zero torque without sacrificing traditional aesthetics or feel. In short, it’s exceptionally good.
- Exceptional feel and precise distance control
- Premium design
- Outstanding alignment aid
- May have a slightly unconventional feel for golfers transitioning directly from a blade
Odyssey Ai-One Square 2 Square #7 Putter

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse
Zero torque technology is increasingly prevalent in golf, and Odyssey has released three new putters for golfers interested in this technology in familiar shapes. This #7 putter boasts a premium look and feel, incorporating all the excellent technology from last year’s AI-One putter line. It’s designed to reduce club face rotation in your putting stroke, leading to more successful putts.
I particularly appreciate the feel and sound of the putter face. The AI One insert is engineered for more consistent ball speeds, ensuring that even off-center strikes get closer to the hole – a feature I genuinely believe works, as not all putts are perfectly struck. This putter is poised to make a significant impact on tour and is definitely worth trying.
- Love the Navy blue PVD finish
- Features the familiar and beloved White Hot face
- Almost swings itself with effortless motion
- The shaft positioned behind the face takes some getting used to
Scotty Cameron Phantom 11R OC Putter

At first glance, the Phantom 11R OC exudes the unmistakable Scotty Cameron quality: sleek, premium, and meticulously engineered. The black shaft, matching Matador grip, and classic Phantom appearance all contribute to a top-tier look. Despite its advanced low-torque design, it retains the look and feel of a Scotty Cameron, rather than a mere scientific experiment.
On the greens, the Phantom 11R OC feels remarkably solid. The chain-link milling helps to provide consistent ball speed, preserving the signature Cameron feel even in this new low-torque design. Unlike many other low-torque models, which can sometimes feel a bit lifeless off the face, this putter delivers the ball with the expected pace of a traditional Scotty. Pace control is a clear strength, and I appreciate Scotty Cameron’s approach here, as other zero-torque brands sometimes overemphasize face control and start line, overlooking the broader aspects of putting.
- Excellent pace control
- Offers a more natural setup compared to other zero-torque putters
- Retains that distinctive Scotty Cameron feel
- May not be suitable for every golfer
Scotty Cameron Studio Style Fastback OC Putter

Immediately, distance control feels spot-on. Unlike some other low or zero-torque models, the ball doesn’t come off dead; the pace is familiar and predictable, crucial for consistent lag putting. The heavier head provides a satisfying sense of momentum through the stroke, yet it never feels cumbersome. There’s an effortless quality to the strike, making the putter feel like it’s doing the work for you.
It’s clear that Scotty Cameron meticulously developed this putter before entering the low-torque market. The Studio Style Fastback OC seamlessly bridges the gap between modern stability and classic feel. This addresses a significant gap in the existing low-torque putter market, where some designs can feel too bulky. This model offers the enhanced face control of a low-torque design without sacrificing pace feedback, touch, or aesthetics.
- Exceptional feel
- Consistent pace off the face
- Classic Scotty Cameron design
- Comes at a premium price
Mizuno M.Craft Tokyo Putter

It’s no surprise that the Tokyo model delivers effortless alignment, stability, and precise distance control, as these are hallmarks of this putter style. For me, achieving alignment was incredibly easy, making this putter a strong contender if you’re in the market for a mallet or fang putter. While it doesn’t have the high-profile presence of offerings from Odyssey and Scotty Cameron, it’s expertly constructed and competitively priced, making it well worth considering.
- Easy alignment
- Features a pure milled head
- Offers good forgiveness
- No left-handed option available
IB Sweet Spot Quaternion Golf Putter

You definitely won’t confuse the Quaternion with a traditional blade. Its cylindrical, futuristic appearance immediately stands out. The symmetrical front-to-back and left-to-right design allows it to be used by both right and left-handed golfers. While this might seem like a novelty, it’s rooted in a serious engineering goal: to achieve total balance and zero torque through impact.
The sound and feel upon impact are superb, offering a crisp, almost popping sound that is both solid and responsive. The graphite shaft effectively dampens harsh vibrations without feeling dead, providing pleasant feedback on well-struck putts. Although the IB Putter Sweet Spot Quaternion’s aesthetics may not appeal to everyone, as a piece of engineering, it is exceptional. It’s beautifully crafted, easy to align, and promotes an incredibly stable stroke.
- Outstanding stability and balance
- Excellent alignment and feedback
- Premium grip and shaft quality
- Its unique visual design may not suit all tastes
TaylorMade Spider X Proto Small Slant Putter

Unlike most mallets, the Spider X Proto Short Slant was engineered to emulate the feel and swing characteristics of a blade putter. This unique concept arose from Scheffler’s desire to leverage the alignment and forgiveness benefits of a mallet without sacrificing the familiar feel of a blade. The solution involved a forward center of gravity and a specially milled face, notably without a Pure Roll insert.
Ultimately, if you’re a blade user considering a switch to a mallet, or simply seeking the best of both worlds, the TaylorMade Spider X Proto Short Slant is an excellent option. It’s tour-inspired, perfectly balanced, and undeniably one of the most visually striking putters available today. The only challenge? Getting your hands on one, as they are incredibly rare and in high demand.
- Ideal for golfers transitioning from blade to mallet
- Excellent feel
- Impressive stability and forgiveness on short putts
- Extremely difficult to find and purchase
TaylorMade Spider 5K-ZT Putter

During my testing, a prominent characteristic of the Spider 5K-ZT was the remarkable stability of the face throughout the stroke. Coming from a blade putter, I was struck by how little the face tended to twist open or shut during the swing, which is precisely what this category aims to address. Compared to competitors, especially LAB’s softer-feeling models, the Spider ZT provides more substantial and somewhat more reliable feedback upon impact. For golfers struggling with distance control, this firmer feel could be a significant advantage.
If you experience difficulty with short putts or inconsistent face rotation, the Spider ZT could be a game-changer. Its combination of high-tech stability and familiar design makes it a standout in the zero-torque category. Conversely, if your current putter is performing well, there’s no immediate need to switch. As always with putters, feel and personal preference are paramount. That said, I believe this is arguably the most compelling zero-torque putter currently available, offering an ideal blend of performance, alignment assistance, and tour-proven technology.
- Features classic Spider putter shaping
- Crisp feel
- Excellent stability
- None noted
TaylorMade Spider Tour X Putter

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse
The latest innovation in the Spider series is the steel wire frame construction, which has allowed engineers to precisely position the center of gravity for optimal roll. It also includes a new Hybrar echo dampener behind the face to enhance feel. This is the same material used in the Stealth and Stealth HD irons, designed to eliminate unwanted vibrations on off-center hits. It’s great when brands retain effective technology, and that’s exactly what they’ve done with the Pure Roll insert, which gained fame with the original Spider X putter. Molded from a Surlyn material, it delivers the familiar Spider feel, with grooves angled 45° downward to promote better topspin and an end-over-end roll.
I thoroughly enjoyed the feel of the putter on impact; it’s significantly softer than my current TP reserve putter, which lacks a face insert, and also produces a pleasant sound. During testing, I quickly adapted to the softer launch speed and found distance control to be excellent. The Spider Tour X is incredibly stable on mis-strikes, generally providing good distance regardless of the contact point—the kind of assistance all golfers need.
- Widely used by top professional players
- Highly forgiving
- Great sound profile
- Soft feel off the face
- Stock models are only available with SuperStroke grip (other grips can be custom ordered)
Rife Black Edition 007 Putter

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse
I believe this putter brilliantly combines striking aesthetics, practical technology, and tangible real-world forgiveness, performing well beyond its price point. On the greens, it quickly became evident that the Rife 007 Black Edition is a strong performer. My short putts felt incredibly stable, with the high-contrast alignment significantly aiding under pressure. For longer efforts, the soft face required a slight adjustment to dial in speed, but the forgiveness offered by its higher MOI (Moment of Inertia) was palpable. Mis-hits, which are unfortunately unavoidable for most amateur golfers, still provided consistent performance. I found the distance control to be impressively forgiving, and once I adapted to the soft feel, lag putting was excellent.
- Fantastic value for money
- Soft face feel offers precise control on delicate putts
- Matte black finish enhances alignment and reduces glare
- The standard grip feels somewhat inexpensive compared to the overall build quality
Ping Scottsdale Craz-E Putter

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse
Beneath its striking visuals lies the full-face PEBAX face insert, a soft yet consistent technology that ensures reliable performance across the entire face. During my testing, I found that whether the strike was off the heel or the toe, distance control remained impressive. This was particularly beneficial for longer putts where off-center hits are more common. The Scottsdale Craz-E truly excels in forgiveness. With its high MOI (Moment of Inertia) design, it remains stable through impact, preserving line and pace even on mis-hits. This proved especially effective on longer putts, where mis-strikes didn’t result in the usual significant drop-off in performance.
Overall, the Ping Scottsdale Craz-E Putter isn’t the cheapest on the market, but it offers excellent value given its performance and heritage. For golfers who fondly remember the original Craz-E, this updated version is a welcome return. For newcomers, it’s a fantastic opportunity to experience what all the fuss is about.
- Very forgiving across the face
- Soft yet consistent roll
- Retro design looks fantastic
- Its bulkier profile may not appeal to purists of blade putters
Wilson Zero Torque Infinite Putter

Wilson makes a strong debut into the world of zero-torque putters with these two models. Initially, the heads might appear small, but compared to a Spider putter, there isn’t a significant size difference. They produce a soft feel and quiet sound off the face, resulting in a solid and consistent roll. These putters are an excellent option for any player looking to explore zero-torque technology without the hefty price tag often associated with it.
- Great price point
- Pleasing shapes
- Offers a nice feel off the face
- Alignment aids could be improved
- The headcover quality is basic
Wilson Infinite Bucktown Putter

Reviewed by Steve Carroll
This is an exceptional mallet putter. The milled face delivers a glorious feel upon impact, it’s well-weighted, and the oversized grip feels fantastic in the hands. If you’re struggling with your putting, it would be unwise not to give this a try. The first thing you notice when holding it is the large, flat-sided grip, which is a significant positive. As a left-hander who plays golf right-handed, my dominant hand often takes over with inconsistent results. With its fang shape, the Bucktown is distinctive yet not off-putting at address. The alignment aids are a huge benefit—three very clear sightlines (painted white against the black head for contrast) leave no doubt about your aim, which instilled a lot of confidence. On occasions when I was misaligning, I could quickly reset before making an off-line stroke.
The milled face is exceptional. The ball feels a touch firm off the surface, but this is an adjustment easily made. I would also note that it’s not as forgiving on major mis-hits; if you strike this off the bottom grooves, you’ll notice a considerable difference compared to putters using descending loft technology.
- Milled face rivals any putter in its class
- Beautifully balanced and easy to roll
- Exceptional grip promotes stability
- Off-center strikes may not always be the most forgiving
Zebra Milled Series 001 Putter

Reviewed by Jonathan Taylor
The first time I used the 001 on my home course, where I know the greens intimately, I putted exceptionally well, sinking numerous 5-15 foot putts and leaving everything else within tap-in distance. I quite enjoyed the crisp feel offered by the carbon steel head (which has no insert). Being a mallet shape, it provided more forgiveness than my usual blade putter. I found distance control and alignment to be very straightforward, and I was pleased with the standard 2x10gm weight option in the head. I was so impressed that I immediately put the 001 in my bag for a golf trip to Lisbon, where I played four rounds to sharpen my game for the upcoming season.
- Premium aesthetic
- Helpful alignment lines
- Offers a choice of weights
- The crisp feel might not appeal to everyone
Ram FX-03 CNC Milled Mallet Putter

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse
On the greens, I found the Ram FX-03 performs admirably, particularly given its price point. The CNC milled face provides a softer feel at impact, which is a welcome change from the often ‘clicky’ feedback associated with budget putters. While I found the sound off the face to be quite distinct—not unpleasant, but noticeably different from higher-end models—this feedback is something some golfers may need to adjust to, though I don’t believe it detracts from the putter’s overall performance.
One of the standout features of the FX-03 is its white alignment aid. Contrasted against the black head, the alignment line is easy to spot, providing a strong visual cue that simplifies setting up putts. Short putts are a particular strength of this mallet, with the alignment aid proving invaluable in maintaining accuracy. Longer putts, however, were slightly more challenging during my testing, with distance control feeling less robust.
- Excellent feel and precision
- Bold matte black finish looks great and eliminates glare
- White alignment line offers great visual assistance
- Affordable price
- Headcover quality is basic
Ram FX-05 CNC Milled Mallet Putter

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse
I found the CNC milling on the face to be particularly impressive for a putter in this price range. CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling is a precision process typically reserved for premium putters, so its inclusion here is a testament to Ram’s commitment to quality. This dedication to craftsmanship is evident from the first glance. On the greens, the FX-05 truly excels in shorter putts. During my testing, it proved excellent at sinking short putts, with the alignment line significantly aiding in setup and stroke confidence.
Overall, I believe the Ram FX-05 CNC Milled Mallet Putter is a remarkable addition to the budget putter category. Its sleek design, quality milling, and dependable performance make it a standout choice for those seeking value without compromise. While it may take a little time to get accustomed to, especially its slightly closed resting position and lighter head, the benefits are well worth it. For beginners and budget-conscious golfers, this mallet putter punches well above its weight.
- Perfect for beginners
- Great consistency on the greens
- Exceptional value for money
- Slightly closed face at address may require adjustment
PXG Bat Attack ZT Putter

PXG’s interpretation of a zero-torque putter comes with a unique twist. Unlike some zero-torque designs that feature exaggerated offset or center-shafted hosels, PXG has opted for a bent hosel that enters the heel more traditionally. As a result, the face sits noticeably ahead of the shaft, which takes a little getting used to but genuinely improves stability. I believe the Bat Attack ZT truly shines in its feel. PXG has incorporated its refined pyramid face pattern, which promotes consistent ball speed and a pleasing, soft sound. It strikes a rare balance—neither too soft nor too firm—feeling both high-end and reliable.
Overall, I consider the PXG Bat Attack ZT to be a standout performer in the zero-torque category. Its classic shape, innovative design, and exceptional feel make it a very strong option for all club golfers. While I have reservations about the grip, the overall package is undeniably high quality.
- Excellent feel off the face
- Impressive stability on both short and long putts
- Premium build quality
- Grip quality could be better
PXG Allan Putter

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse
During testing, I found the Allan putter to excel within eight feet. Its long alignment line, extending from the face to the rear, makes short putts feel almost automatic. It’s rare to find a putter that combines ease of alignment with such precise face control, and the Allan confidently hits that sweet spot. Another bonus is the hidden pick-up pocket on the sole—a neat feature that allows you to scoop up short gimmes without bending over. It’s a small detail that highlights PXG’s attention to the player experience.
Overall, the PXG Allan putter is one of the latest additions to the ever-growing zero-torque category. It offers enhanced stability, impressive aesthetics, and superb short-range performance. Although it requires some adjustment on longer putts and the grip could be improved, this putter is well worth considering for players looking to enhance their consistency on the greens.
- Excellent face stability through impact
- Clean and modern aesthetic
- Alignment line is very useful
- Slight adjustment needed for long putts
- Grip could be improved
SeeMore Mini Giant HTX Putter

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse
The SeeMore Mini Giant HTX Putter is an outstanding choice for golfers seeking consistent alignment and accuracy on short putts. Its innovative RifleScope Technology simplifies the setup process and promotes a square face through impact. While it might show a slight drop in ball speed on long putts, its overall performance and feedback make it a compelling option for refining your short game. Its sleek black finish and copper-weighted fangs create a unique aesthetic that feels both modern and classic. When picked up, the balance is immediately apparent, and it sits squarely behind the ball, inspiring confidence even before a stroke is made.
During testing, I found the Mini Giant HTX particularly impressive on short putts. The RST alignment system made it incredibly easy to set up confidently over the ball, which I believe significantly contributed to consistent accuracy from three to eight feet.
- Forgiving on off-center strikes
- Smooth, true roll with satisfying feedback
- Excellent alignment system
- Slight ball speed drop-off on toe strikes
Cleveland Frontline Elite RHO Putter

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse
Cleveland has invested heavily in performance-enhancing features. The RHO putter boasts a forward center of gravity, achieved through tungsten weighting in both the sole and the face insert itself (yes, even the face insert acts as a weight). This forward CG setup is designed to improve accuracy on off-center strikes, reducing face twisting and helping the ball stay closer to your intended line. Additionally, the Speed Optimized Face Technology incorporates varying groove spacing across the face, with tighter patterns in the center and wider grooves towards the heel and toe. This helps promote more consistent ball speed across the face while improving pace control even on mis-hits. For players struggling with distance consistency, especially on long putts, I believe this offers a subtle yet effective boost.
My tests on the greens at Sandmoor Golf Club revealed some standout traits. First, aiming was effortless thanks to the bold visual cues. Short putts felt automatic, a result of both the mallet’s stability and the crisp feedback from the face. On longer efforts, the consistent roll and reliable distance control were noticeable; you truly feel the putter working with you. Overall, there’s much to appreciate about the Cleveland Frontline Elite RHO putter. It’s a thoughtfully engineered, technology-packed putter that delivers genuine performance gains for a fraction of the cost of some premium models.
- Excellent alignment aid improves confidence and accuracy
- Consistent ball speed across the face
- Outstanding value for the level of technology included
- Adjustable weights allow for custom fitting
- Performs particularly well on both short and long putts
- Slightly awkward resting position when placed on the ground
Cleveland HB Soft 2 11C Putter

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse
Cleveland has stuck to a winning formula with the HB Soft 2 11C, producing a design built around one of the most trusted head shapes in modern putting. To me, it’s somewhat reminiscent of the Odyssey #7, and this fang-style mallet is arguably the standout of the HB Soft 2 line-up, and for good reason. It’s on longer putts where the 11C truly shines. The center-shafted design encourages a straight-back, straight-through stroke and delivers a reliable, balanced feel through impact. I found the feedback to be clear without being harsh, and my distance control noticeably benefited from the face technology. I believe the Cleveland HB Soft 2 11C is a standout performer in the value-for-money category. It combines modern face technology with a classic shape and a unique shaft position to cater to a very specific putting style.
- Excellent value for money
- Solid distance control
- Forgiving on off-center strikes
- Comfortable counterbalanced grip
- Wide range of models and custom fit options
- Center-shaft design may make short putt alignment trickier
- Not ideal for arcing strokes
L.A.B. Golf OZ.1 Putter

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse
One of L.A.B.’s signature strengths is unparalleled customization. From grip types and shaft leans to color schemes and face insert options, the OZ.1 is a custom fitter’s dream. You can choose a vertical shaft, positioning your hands behind the face, or a forward lean for a more traditional setup. During my testing, the forward lean felt more intuitive, aiding alignment and consistency on short putts. True to L.A.B.’s mission, the OZ.1 is torque-free. This Lie Angle Balance design ensures the putter face resists twisting through the stroke, especially on short putts, delivering unmatched stability and forgiveness.
While the OZ.1 isn’t inexpensive, it’s difficult to dispute the value it offers. You’re not just purchasing a putter; you’re investing in one of the most technologically advanced clubs on the market, and it’s no gimmick. For those struggling with putting consistency, this is a truly excellent option.
- Unmatched face stability
- Strong distance control and feedback
- Ideal for short putts and high-pressure situations
- Modern shape with traditional appeal
- Premium price tag
- Very different from classic blades, which may not suit everyone
L.A.B. LAB Direct Force 2.1 Putter

A forward press with your putter helps control loft and how the ball launches and rolls. What I particularly like about this putter is that it’s already pre-set and feels very natural. I don’t feel the need to forward press, allowing me to focus entirely on alignment. The large, oversized head is designed with a high MOI (Moment of Inertia), meaning toe and heel strikes will have minimal impact on direction.
The feel of the face is very soft, which I personally prefer. I genuinely enjoy the feel and the way this putter rolls the ball; it instantly feels well-balanced. My pace control with the LAB Direct Force 2.1 is exceptional, greatly assisting with long putts. I feel it’s incredibly easy to control my start line, and with these benefits, I can’t see how it wouldn’t improve my putting.
- Highly forgiving
- All-black design is sleek and smart
- Significantly aids with distance control
- Its unique style might not appeal to everyone’s taste
