BLACKARXANGEL on TORONTOTOKYO’s Position 3: “Very Weak”

Famous caster Vladislav ‘BLACKARXANGEL’ Ivashchenko has commented on Aurora Gaming’s decision to invite Alexander ‘TORONTOTOKYO’ Khertek to the offlane position (position three).

According to Ivashchenko, this decision is weak. He believes that TORONTOTOKYO was chosen due to personal connections rather than professional qualities, and that there are stronger candidates available for this role.

“I don’t like Toronto in the three, it’s very weak. The only reason for this decision is that he is someone’s ‘friend’, there are much stronger and better candidates.”

BLACKARXANGEL also noted that changing roles can be beneficial for broadening gaming experience, but in the case of TORONTOTOKYO, who previously played mid lane and support, there is a risk of retaining a “greedy” playstyle characteristic of midlaners. This could negatively impact Aurora Gaming’s team play, where there are already strong players like Nightfall and Kiyotaka.

TORONTOTOKYO began mastering the offlane role after going inactive in the fall of 2024. He previously played mid lane for Team Spirit and support for BetBoom Team. His professional debut in the new role will take place at the PGL Wallachia Season 3 tournament, which will be held in Romania in March.
