Burnley Fans React to Hilarious Social Media Goof After West Brom Match

Burnley supporters responded with humor, stating, “we’re just so used to it,” after the club’s official X (formerly Twitter) account mistakenly announced that their match against West Bromwich Albion had ended in a 0-0 draw.

Burnley has been recognized for their strong defense throughout the current season.

Prior to this game, they had only conceded 10 goals in 36 league matches under manager Parker.

Burnley did concede the first goal of the match, a remarkable free-kick from John Swift in the 20th minute.

However, the team chasing promotion quickly responded, with Zian Flemming scoring the equalizer in the 23rd minute.

The game ultimately concluded in a 1-1 draw, a fact that was initially misrepresented in Burnley’s social media update.

The erroneous tweet declared: “It ends goalless in Burnley.”

Reacting to the error, one fan playfully commented, “We’re so used to 0-0 hahahahaaha.”

Another fan wittily added, “we saw what you did there.”

The Clarets quickly corrected their initial post to reflect the accurate final score: “It ends level in Burnley.”

Notably, Parker’s team has had eleven 0-0 draws this season.

They have scored 50 goals, which is the lowest among the top four teams in the Championship.

Before their 2-1 victory against Cardiff earlier in March, Burnley had an impressive streak of 12 consecutive league games without conceding a goal.

Following this Championship match, Burnley remains in third place in the league standings.

They are currently just one point behind Leeds United, the previous leaders, and two points adrift of Sheffield United, who are now at the top of the table.
