Former Chelsea and Fulham star Damien Duff, now managing Shelbourne in the League of Ireland Premier Division, found an ingenious way to watch his team play despite serving a touchline ban.

The 46-year-old was banned from the dugout for Shelbourne`s match against title contenders Bohemian after receiving his fifth booking during the victory over St Patrick`s Athletic the previous week.
However, the ban didn`t stop him from supporting his side. The retired winger was photographed standing on a hill overlooking Dalymount Park, the venue for the match.

He appeared to be attempting to disguise himself, wearing a cap and a face covering.
Despite his efforts, some fans spotted him and were highly amused and impressed by his dedication.
One fan posted: “Interesting viewpoint for Damien Duff at Dalymount Park.”
Another wrote: “Possibly my favourite LOI picture of all time. Damien Duff serving his touchline ban during Shelbourne’s visit to Dalymount Park to take on Bohemians.”
Comments included jokes like: “Damien Duff in the ghillie suit,” and declarations such as: “Iconic already.”
One fan noted: “Suspended manager, on a hillside, desolate.”
Another added: “Say what you like about him, but this guy`s brilliant entertainment.”

Unfortunately for Duff, his unique matchday vantage point did not bring luck. Shelbourne lost the game 1-0 following a penalty from Dayle Rooney.
He also had to watch his team finish the match with just nine players on the field after Mark Coyle and Alistair Coote were both shown red cards.
