Chelsea Targets Marc Guehi and In-Form Striker for Summer Transfers
Chelsea is optimistic about acquiring England defender Marc Guehi in the upcoming transfer window, despite their unsuccessful attempt in January. The club also has its sights set on bolstering their attacking options.
Crystal Palace values Guehi at £70 million, but with only one year remaining on his contract, they may have to settle for a lower fee. Chelsea’s previous offer was deemed inadequate by Palace.
Guehi, who came through Chelsea’s youth academy, left the club in 2021 for £18 million after two loan spells at Swansea. The 24-year-old has since established himself as a regular for England, earning 22 caps.
In addition to strengthening their defense, Chelsea is also interested in striker Liam Delap. The young forward has impressed this season, scoring 10 Premier League goals for Ipswich Town. His performances have reportedly increased his value to around £50 million.
Chelsea’s pursuit of a new striker comes as they face limited options up front due to injuries to Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu. Christopher Nkunku has also struggled in the striker role recently.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Chelsea appears determined to reinforce key areas of their squad, with Guehi and Delap emerging as prime targets for the club.
