Counter-Strike 2 analyst Joshua `steel` Nissan has commented on Natus Vincere player Justinas `jL` Lekavicius` decision not to shake hands with Eternal Fire`s İsmailcan `XANTARES` Dörtkardeş following their match at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025. He shared his perspective on social media platform X.
“Teabagging is simply the easiest litmus test in the world to figure out how mentally weak someone is. And if you let people know it bothers you, you are just giving them an advantage and they are going to do it every chance they get. The only correct response to teabagging is to do it back.”
Earlier, jL stated that XANTARES had teabagged him during the game. Consequently, Lekavicius chose to forgo the traditional handshake.
The Turkish roster defeated NAVI with a 2:0 scoreline. XANTARES` team has advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament, while jL`s team will begin their playoff journey in the quarter-finals.
The BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 tournament is being held from March 19th to 30th in a LAN format across Copenhagen and Lisbon. Participating teams are competing for a $400,000 prize pool.
