Online cinema “Amediateka” has acquired the rights to broadcast the anime series “Dark Demon” (Tougen Anki) in Russia.
The anime “Dark Demon” is an adaptation of the manga of the same name. The story begins in an era when bloodthirsty demons hunted humans until they were stopped by the great hero Momotaro. However, he did not manage to eliminate all of them. The surviving demons went into hiding, blending in with humans, and waited for their chance for revenge. Generations later, Momotaro`s descendants continue to hunt demons, even killing their young. Few manage to escape, including the protagonist Shiki, who possesses cursed blood and was raised by a former demon hunter.
The Japanese premiere of the anime series is scheduled for July 11, 2025. The Russian release of the show is expected to take place on the same day.
