Dota 2 professional player Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin commented on Chimera Esports’ elimination from DreamLeague Season 25. He shared his assessment of the team’s performance in a Telegram message.
In his statement, Daxak mentioned that while they won many games, they lacked individual and team skill to go further. He emphasized that the team exceeded expectations, achieving their best result and his personal best. Daxak noted the improved atmosphere within the team, especially in their last series, which he attributed partly to the absence of their previous coach, Alagon. He credited Alagon for initial motivation and morale boost.
Looking ahead, Daxak stated he is looking for a new team (“LFT”) and hopes he demonstrated his skill sufficiently for potential organizations. He expressed his ambition to not just participate in tournaments but to win them, believing he is ready for that level. Daxak welcomed good teams to contact him to discuss opportunities.
Daxak had been initially removed from Chimera Esports before the tournament due to team disagreements but returned as a stand-in. The team secured second place in the group stage and reached third place in the second stage. In the playoffs, they started in the lower bracket semi-finals but were defeated by Team Spirit with a score of 1:2, ending their participation in the championship.
DreamLeague Season 25 took place online from February 16th to March 2nd. Sixteen teams competed for a $1 million prize pool and 20,440 EPT points.
