Dendi Considers Return to Professional Dota 2

Danil `Dendi` Ishutin, a renowned professional Dota 2 player, has discussed the possibility of returning to the competitive scene with a new B8 Esports roster. In an interview, he shared his thoughts on the difficulties of forming a new team.

Dendi emphasized that it is currently challenging to assemble a new roster. Many experienced players are already committed to other teams, and there are few emerging talents. Furthermore, most players are focused on financial gain rather than achieving competitive results.

Responding to questions about B8`s return to Dota 2, Dendi explained that the main problem is the lack of suitable players. He noted that in the past, players strived to be the best, but now financial rewards are often the priority. He added that finding players motivated by an idea and a goal is very difficult.

Dendi admits that his comeback is theoretically possible but emphasizes that creating a competitive team is a complex task that requires both desire and financial resources.

The 35-year-old Ishutin does not believe that age will be an obstacle to his return to the top tier of Dota 2.

He refuted the notion that age affects performance in Dota 2. Dendi mentioned that he continues to play actively and considers age an insignificant factor. He cited Team Liquid`s victory at The International with an experienced roster and emphasized that in Dota 2, thinking and strategy are more important than fast reflexes, as in Counter-Strike.

Dendi began his Dota 2 career in 2007. He won The International 2011 and achieved high placements at TI2 and TI3. B8 Esports, the team he is part of, last competed in 2024. Dendi himself participated in the DreamLeague Season 26 qualifiers but failed to advance.
