Disney has decided to reduce the scale of the premiere for the film “Snow White,” according to Variety.
Typically, major Hollywood premieres are grand, star-studded events with extensive media coverage. However, for this premiere, the studio has opted not to invite journalists, with only photographers expected to be present.
The live-action remake of “Snow White” has faced criticism for casting Rachel Zegler, who is of Latin American descent, in the lead role. Fans of the original animated movie also expressed disapproval of the actress’s comments criticizing the classic film as outdated.
Adding to the controversy, statements made by the film’s leading actresses on sensitive social and political topics have also contributed to the scaled-down premiere. Zegler has shown support for Palestine on social media, while Gal Gadot, who is Israeli, has voiced her support for Israel. Furthermore, Zegler has made negative remarks about former U.S. President Donald Trump and his voters.
