Donk Reflects on Team Spirit’s Victory Over Virtus.pro at IEM Katowice 2025
Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, a player for Team Spirit, shared his thoughts following their triumph against Virtus.pro in the IEM Katowice 2025 CS2 tournament playoffs. The esports athlete’s statement was published on his team’s official Telegram channel.
“We secured a 2-0 victory against Virtus.pro, advancing to the semifinals where we’ll face NAVI. It was a challenging match, even with their stand-in player. I struggled in the first half on both maps, but the team carried us through. Chopper was in his prime form,” Kryshkovets remarked.
The match between Team Spirit and Virtus.pro took place on the evening of February 7th. Kryshkovets’ team emerged victorious with a 2-0 score, progressing to the quarterfinals where they will compete against Natus Vincere. Virtus.pro, unfortunately, was eliminated from the championship. In the playoffs, Denis “electroNic” Sharipov’s team played with a substitute: due to visa issues, Nikolai “mir” Bityukov stepped in for Timur “FL4MUS” Maryev.
IEM Katowice 2025 is being held in Poland from January 29th to February 9th. Twenty-four teams are competing for a prize pool of one million dollars.
