Dota 2 Caster Adekvat on PARIVISION’s FISSURE Universe 5 Showing

Dota 2 caster Rustam Mavlyutov, widely known as Adekvat, recently shared his analysis of the results from the FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 tournament. He specifically commented that he wouldn`t definitively rule out the PARIVISION team for the upcoming Riyadh Masters 2025, also referred to as EWC, despite their performance in the recent event. Mavlyutov posted his thoughts on his Telegram channel.

In his message, Adekvat acknowledged Team Liquid`s convincing 3-0 victory in the final, noting their strong play even without insania. Regarding PARIVISION, he expressed hope that their showing over the two days of the tournament wasn`t their full potential, suggesting it might have been them “playing easy” or perhaps a form of “misdirection.” He stated a strong desire to believe that their performance was a deliberate strategic move in preparation for more significant upcoming tournaments, such as the EWC. He concluded by accepting the current result and looking forward to watching the teams compete at EWC after a short break.

A clear 3-0 victory for Liquid! And this is without insania, impressive.

I hope what we saw from PARIVISION over these two days was simply them playing below full strength or a feint. So I wouldn`t sharply write them off for EWC. A smart strategic move for the important series of tournaments ahead?! — I really want to believe that.

For now, we record what we have. A couple days of rest and we`ll hear from each other at EWC!

During FISSURE Universe: Episode 5, PARIVISION successfully advanced to the playoffs by finishing first in Group A. In the upper bracket final, the squad led by Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko was defeated by Team Liquid. Dropping to the lower bracket, PARIVISION managed to overcome Aurora Gaming, but in the grand final, Minenko`s team once again lost to Liquid.

The FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 was an online tournament held from July 1st to 4th. Ten teams participated, competing for a total prize pool of $250,000.
