Dota 2 Update 7.38 Introduces Speed-Boosting Rivers for Quicker Map Navigation
The recent Dota 2 patch 7.38 has brought significant changes to the game’s map terrain. One of the most notable additions is the introduction of new rivers that provide a speed boost to heroes moving downstream, allowing for faster map traversal.
Both Radiant and Dire sides have been equipped with two new rivers each. The first pair is located at the top and bottom of the map, while the second set can be found in the upper jungle area for Dire and the lower jungle for Radiant. The central river that bisects the map remains unchanged and does not offer any speed advantages.
This major update, released on February 19th, has dramatically altered the game by modifying terrain, mechanics, and overall balance. The new river system is just one of many changes aimed at refreshing the Dota 2 experience for players.
