Dyrachyo Compares CS2 and Dota 2 from a Spectator’s Perspective

Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov, the carry player for Tundra Esports’ Dota 2 team, recently shared his experiences with CS2 and his views on its professional scene. In an interview with the Telegram channel sapp0r0, Shkredov offered insights into his gaming journey and spectator preferences.

Shkredov revealed his dedication to CS2, stating he played intensively for nearly a month. He achieved a peak ELO of 1980 but currently maintains around 1800. Regarding professional CS2 tournaments, he expressed his support for specific players and teams, including m0NESY and Team Spirit, praising their skills and personalities.

Comparing CS2 and Dota 2 from a spectator’s standpoint, Shkredov believes CS2 offers a more engaging viewing experience. He likened CS2 to basketball, noting the constant tension and the potential for dramatic turnarounds even in seemingly impossible situations. In contrast, he feels Dota 2 lacks the same level of unpredictability and emotional engagement for viewers.

Shkredov’s interest in CS2 intensified during his hiatus from professional Dota 2 in autumn 2024, following his departure from Gaimin Gladiators. This period allowed him to explore and appreciate the nuances of CS2 both as a player and spectator.
