Erling Haaland Spotted Fishing in Cornwall

Fans were surprised to see Erling Haaland FISHING in Cornwall this week.

The striker went on a sea fishing trip, making the most of an unexpected week off after Manchester City were eliminated from the Champions League last month.

Haaland was seen in Newquay, Cornwall on Monday, approximately 315 miles from his Manchester home.

The 24-year-old player, wearing a multi-colored fleece, was accompanied by a friend and even caught a fish during the outing.

The Premier League forward ventured into Cornish waters hoping to catch pollock before fans recognized him.

He didn’t stay too long but remained long enough to take photos with fans as he returned to shore near Towan Beach.

One young City supporter was fortunate enough to get Haaland’s autograph on his sky blue jersey.

The Norway international reportedly arrived via private helicopter and stayed at North Fistral.

Local resident Kier Tamblin mentioned, “He went on a fishing trip. He seemed to be alone.”

“He mentioned he caught something but wanted to leave quickly before he attracted too much attention.”

Haaland played the full 90 minutes in City’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

With no midweek European match, City’s next game is against Brighton on Saturday.

Haaland was clearly taking advantage of some unexpected free time.

City were knocked out of the Champions League in the round of 16 after a 6-3 aggregate loss to Real Madrid last month.

The Norwegian star, who earns £500,000 per week, missed the second-leg 3-1 loss at the Bernabeu due to a minor injury.

He scored twice in the first leg a week earlier, before Jude Bellingham scored a late winner for Madrid, securing a 3-2 victory.

Haaland’s teammate Phil Foden is also a keen fisherman and caught a large fish last year.
