Fng Shares Insights on Winning in Dota 2, Comparing Tundra and Falcons

Artem “Fng” Barshak, a professional Dota 2 player, shared his thoughts on what it takes to succeed in the game, using Tundra Esports and Team Falcons as examples. He also offered his opinion on which team is currently stronger.

Fng emphasized the importance of flexibility in hero roles, stating, “In today’s Dota, it’s crucial to have heroes that can win the game from both the second and third positions. You can’t always rely on your carry to win the match.”

He noted that the most successful teams currently don’t have rigid role distributions. “The teams that win tournaments now are those who play actively on the map. Pressure can come from anywhere, and that’s often where the win condition lies,” Fng explained.

Comparing Tundra Esports and Team Falcons, Fng said, “In Tundra, the distribution is mainly between dyrachyo and 33, with bzm sometimes not carrying games. This is why I consider Falcons to be a stronger team than Tundra. Falcons are currently underperforming compared to their peak level when they were winning tournaments, but they still play well overall.”

Tundra Esports has won the first two major competitions in 2025 – FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025 and BLAST Slam II. Team Falcons reached the finals of the tournament in Serbia.
