Slovak player Matúš “matys” Šimko is reportedly one of the potential candidates to replace Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski on the G2 Esports CS2 roster.
Reports indicate that G2 initially attempted to acquire Kacper “xKacpersky” Gabara from ENCE, but negotiations with the Finnish organization were unsuccessful. Although Snax served as the in-game leader, G2 is reportedly looking for a standard rifler, as Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač is willing to take on the leadership duties.
Currently, matys is a player for Fnatic. Excluding Freddy “KRiMZ” Johansson, Šimko is the longest-tenured member of the current active lineup, having joined the Swedish club in November 2023.
