Gabe Follower Speculates Valve Might Acquire Cache Rights

Counter-Strike 2 data miner Maxim “Gabe Follower” Poletaev has suggested that Valve, the developers of the game, might be interested in purchasing the rights to the popular community-made map Cache. However, the content creator also considered the possibility that the map`s owner, FMPONE, might not have reached an agreement with the company.

As far as I know, Valve is interested in buying the rights to the map, but apparently, they are not very satisfied with its technical state. Either they have already purchased it and will now rework it, or they simply couldn`t come to an agreement with FMPONE. I don`t know the details; treat this information as a rumor or speculation.

FMPONE unveiled a new version of Cache on March 3. As of now, Valve has not made any official announcement regarding whether the map will be included in the official competitive map pool for Counter-Strike 2.
