Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, a former world champion in three weight divisions, holds five world titles and is ranked among the top pound-for-pound boxers by ESPN. He is also recognized as a leading lightweight fighter. Davis first gained the IBF junior lightweight title in 2017 by defeating José Pedraza. He later secured the WBA junior lightweight title in 2018 against Jesús Cuellar. Moving up in weight in 2019, Davis won the WBA (regular) lightweight title with a TKO victory over Yuriorkis Gamboa. In 2021, he added the WBA (super) junior welterweight title to his achievements with a unanimous decision win against Issac Cruz, and he successfully defended this title against Frank Martin on June 15.
