ICY reflects on his performance at BLAST Lisbon 2025: “A bit of a slump, but I’ll try to mentally regroup.”

Virtus.pro`s CS2 sniper, Kaisar “ICY” Faiznurov, summarized his team`s performance at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025. He also assessed his personal form, noting that it is not currently at its peak.

“We didn`t make it to the playoffs. We faced Spirit as opponents. We were a bit unlucky, of course. I messed up in some moments. It was an unsuccessful debut, a bad start. But what can I say? We won against Falcons, with three comebacks, we came back from 12:5 and somehow managed to pull through in overtime. It was really tough. Yes, we didn`t reach the playoffs, which is definitely disappointing. There`s work to be done, for sure. I believe we did a good job because our game has improved and we can beat teams like Falcons and FaZe Clan. These are good teams, so to speak. Regarding my individual performance, yes, I`m not in my best shape right now. This is probably my worst tournament in a year since AMKAL. There`s a bit of a slump, but I`ll try to mentally regroup a bit because I feel like sometimes I`m lacking, that I`m failing.”

BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 took place from March 19th to 30th. Teams competed for a prize pool of $400,000. Virtus.pro finished the championship in 7th-8th place, losing to Team Spirit in the playoff qualification match.
