According to insider Main Middle Man on X (formerly Twitter), Marvel Studios has made a decision regarding the actor who will portray Wolverine in the forthcoming X-Men films set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The insider shared the following information:
“I`m told the casting for the actor playing Wolverine in Marvel Studios` `X-Men` has happened, and the choice is quite surprising. I wasn`t told who it is.”
Main Middle Man also provided details on other casting rumors circulating for the upcoming mutant series reboot.
Based on the insider`s information, British actresses Kirby Howell-Baptiste (`Why Women Kill`) and Jodie Turner-Smith (`Bad Monkey`) are reportedly under consideration for the role of Storm. Additionally, Alex Wolff (`Oppenheimer`) is said to be in discussions to join the cast.
As of the time of this report, a dedicated Marvel Studios `X-Men` film has not been officially announced, although the film rights for the characters have previously reverted to the company. It is known that some characters from the X-Men team are slated to appear in the upcoming film `Avengers: Secret Wars`, though these appearances are expected to feature versions from earlier cinematic adaptations.
Previously, Main Middle Man also reported that Patrick Schwarzenegger (`The White Lotus`) was being considered for a role within the refreshed mutant roster.
