Joao Felix Makes Instant Impact with Goal in AC Milan Debut

Portuguese forward Joao Felix wasted no time making his mark at AC Milan, scoring a decisive goal just 12 minutes after coming on as a substitute in his debut match. The 25-year-old, who recently joined Milan on loan from Chelsea, helped secure a 3-1 victory over Roma in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

Felix entered the game in the 59th minute, replacing former Chelsea teammate Christian Pulisic. In the 71st minute, he calmly chipped the ball over Roma’s goalkeeper after receiving a pass from Santiago Gimenez, another recent Milan signing.

The quick success of Felix at Milan has prompted some fans to criticize Chelsea’s management of players. One fan commented on social media, “We can now agree Chelsea ruins players.” Another added, “Chelsea has always mishandled players, often buying them just to keep them from rivals.”

Felix’s loan move to Milan comes just five months after Chelsea paid £45 million to sign him from Atletico Madrid. During his time at Chelsea, he struggled to secure a regular place in the starting lineup under manager Enzo Maresca.

AC Milan paid a £5 million loan fee for Felix, with no obligation to buy. If his impressive debut is any indication, the Italian club may have made a shrewd move in acquiring the talented Portuguese forward.

The Coppa Italia final is scheduled for May 14, where AC Milan will aim to win the trophy for the sixth time in the club’s history and the first time since 2003.
