Kenyan goalkeeper Patrick Matasi has been suspended due to an ongoing investigation into suspected match-fixing.
The investigation centers on Matasi`s performance during Kenya`s 4-1 defeat by Cameroon last October.

Matasi`s contribution in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier raised concerns, leading to Engin Firat`s resignation as Kenya`s team manager after the game.
Reports indicate that 37-year-old Matasi allegedly received an anonymous call before the match, discussing a “plan,” according to Marca.
Kenyan authorities have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) released a statement confirming their awareness of online videos involving Patrick Matasi that suggest potential match manipulation.
The FKF statement continued: “The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is aware of videos circulating online involving goalkeeper Patrick Matasi, raising concerns about possible match manipulation.”
“FKF is committed to upholding the integrity of football and has initiated a formal inquiry in cooperation with FIFA, CAF, and other relevant bodies.”
“We maintain a strict zero-tolerance stance on match manipulation and are dedicated to protecting the integrity of our competitions.”
“This investigation will be conducted in accordance with FKF’s Anti-Match Manipulation Regulations and FIFA guidelines, ensuring a just, transparent, and comprehensive process.”
“The rights of both the player and his club will be respected, and appropriate actions will be determined based on the investigation`s outcomes.”
“We encourage anyone possessing credible information to aid this investigation. All information provided will be treated with utmost confidentiality. Reports can be submitted via [email protected].”
“FKF will issue further updates as the investigation progresses.”
Matasi made a significant error on Cameroon’s second goal, fumbling Martin Hongla`s shot into his own net.
For the fourth goal, he was also slow to react, allowing Christian Bassogog to get around him and score.
