Kylian Mbappé Refutes Real Madrid Doctors’ Wrong Knee Injury Diagnosis Claims

Kylian Mbappé has firmly denied rumors suggesting that Real Madrid’s medical staff made a diagnostic error by examining the wrong knee during his injury. He dismissed these claims as “untrue” during a press conference held in Boston, the day before a friendly match between France and Brazil.

These allegations initially surfaced on Tuesday from journalist Daniel Riolo, who described a “worse than catastrophic error” that purportedly led to the dismissal of medical staff in January. According to Riolo’s reports, Mbappé, concerned by his knee’s worsening condition since December, consulted a specialist in France, who allegedly highlighted gross malpractice by Madrid’s medical team, risking further injury to the player.

However, Mbappé categorically refuted the idea that Real Madrid doctors examined the wrong knee. He nevertheless declined to elaborate further on the situation, taking some responsibility for the lack of clear communication surrounding his condition:

“The information stating they examined the wrong knee is false. I might bear some indirect responsibility, because when you don’t communicate, rumors start to circulate; that’s part of the game. We have always maintained very clear communication with the club.”

Mbappé also expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance during his absence. “When I got injured in early January, I wasn’t available, and many people thought I was the club’s only option, but that’s not the case.”
