Lauren Walsh has been officially named the new touring professional for The Island Golf Club.
The Kildare native, who currently holds playing cards for both the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LPGA Tour, has maintained her membership at the esteemed north Dublin links venue for over a decade.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to embark on this partnership with The Island Golf Club,” Walsh expressed. “Having been a member here for ten years, I hold a deep appreciation for the course. When I return to Ireland, I truly value the authentic links challenge The Island provides; it’s instrumental in refining specific areas of my game. The unwavering support from their entire team over the years has been exceptional, and I am incredibly proud to represent them.”
Donal Boyle, President of The Island Golf Club, commented on the announcement: “We are immensely proud to formally declare our partnership with Lauren as our Official Touring Professional.”
He elaborated, “Lauren has been a cherished member of The Island for more than ten years, and it has been our privilege to witness her remarkable development from a talented amateur into a respected LPGA Tour player.”
Boyle added, “Her dedication, humility, and competitive spirit perfectly embody everything our club stands for. Achieving her 2026 LPGA status following such a stellar season on the Ladies European Tour is a monumental accomplishment, and we are delighted to provide our full support as she represents The Island on the global stage. She is truly an outstanding ambassador for both Irish golf and our club.”
Throughout the upcoming season, Walsh will serve as a key ambassador for The Island Golf Club at various LPGA Tour events and international competitions.
When she is home in Ireland, she will continue to utilize The Island’s advanced practice facilities.
