Liam Nolan is making his return to action in ONE Championship Muay Thai.
He was originally scheduled for a rematch against Nauzet Trujillo, who had defeated him previously, but Trujillo withdrew at the last minute.
Nolan will now face Abolfazl Alipour Andi in a Muay Thai bout taking place in Bangkok on Saturday morning.
A victory in this fight could potentially set up a future clash with fellow British lightweight contender, George Jarvis.
Nolan commented that he believes Jarvis is currently deserving of a shot at the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title, held by Regian Eersel.
He suggested he might fight someone else after this bout and then potentially face the winner of a match between Jarvis and Eersel.
Nolan acknowledged the rivalry between himself and Jarvis, stemming from both being prominent British fighters in the same division. He expressed confidence in Jarvis`s ability to challenge Eersel, citing Jarvis`s strong Muay Thai style.
Despite his previous loss, Nolan stated that his goal of becoming a world champion remains unchanged and that his passion for fighting never faded during his time away.
