Manchester United will participate in a pre-season tournament in the United States against Premier League rivals, involving a round trip of nearly 9,000 miles.
The Red Devils aim to recover from their poor 2024/25 season with three matches against Premier League teams across three different states in the US.

United will compete against West Ham, Bournemouth, and Everton in the Premier League Summer Series in July and August.
This marks the third consecutive year that United have chosen the US for their pre-season preparations.
Ruben Amorim’s team will commence their tour with a 3,334-mile journey from Manchester to New Jersey, where they will face West Ham at MetLife Stadium on July 26. MetLife Stadium is the home of the NFL’s New York Jets and New York Giants.
Following this, they will travel another 782 miles by plane to play Bournemouth in Chicago just four days later.
This match will be held at Soldier Field, a historic NFL stadium and the home of MLS club Chicago Fire.
Subsequently, the Red Devils will undertake a further 714-mile trip to Atlanta, arriving four days after the Chicago game.
In Atlanta, they will conclude their pre-season tour with a match against Everton at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
After facing Everton, United will return to Manchester with a 4,080-mile flight.

The total distance travelled by the Manchester United team and staff will be approximately 8,910 miles.
United is expected to return to the UK in early August, a few weeks before the start of the Premier League season.
The Premier League Summer Series began in 2023, offering American fans the chance to see their favorite Premier League teams play live. Previous participants include Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Brighton.
Jason Wilcox, Technical Director of Manchester United, commented: “The pre-season period is always an exciting time for Manchester United players and fans. We value our time in the US, utilizing top-tier training facilities and stadiums, and connecting with our fanbase.
“Competing against other Premier League teams provides our players with crucial match experience against strong opponents. It also offers our passionate supporters the opportunity to watch some of the most renowned football teams in the world compete live in iconic North American stadiums.”
The team will aim to improve their performance for the 2025/26 season after a disappointing previous campaign.
Ruben Amorim recently acknowledged that the team has “deep scars” that need to be addressed to achieve a turnaround.
