Manchester United are on alert as Everton are anticipated to lose defender Jarrad Branthwaite during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Everton is preparing for a significant squad transformation at the end of the season, with only 11 senior players currently contracted for the next season.

Despite Branthwaite`s contract extending until 2027, with an option for an additional year, Everton`s leadership is resigned to his likely departure.
Manchester United`s previous attempt to sign the England Under-21 player last summer was unsuccessful. Furthermore, it has been revealed that Everton declined a substantial offer from a Premier League competitor on the January transfer deadline day.
The Red Devils are expected to make another approach this summer as they aim to construct a team suited to Ruben Amorim`s tactical approach, with Branthwaite valued at over £50 million.
However, Manchester United will face competition. Tottenham has previously shown interest in the 22-year-old and might reignite their pursuit should Cristian Romero leave in the summer.
Considering Branthwaite`s expected exit and numerous senior players` contracts expiring, Everton manager David Moyes is bracing for a hectic summer transfer window.
Everton is predicted to be among the busiest clubs in the market and might need to recruit as many as eight new players to strengthen their squad for their inaugural season at the new Bramley Moore Dock stadium.
Moyes recently responded defiantly to suggestions that Branthwaite needed to move to secure a place in Thomas Tuchel`s England squad.
Moyes stated, referencing past Everton players who became England internationals while at the club: “I would say to him – Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines and Joleon Lescott.”
“This club has developed numerous international players over the years, and we currently have a highly-rated goalkeeper [Jordan Pickford] playing for England as well.”
Despite Moyes` desire for Branthwaite to remain at Everton, club executives have acknowledged that his future likely lies elsewhere.
