The musical film “Nasha Russia. March 8th” has achieved a record-breaking start among television projects on the Kinopoisk online cinema platform. It also secured the second-highest viewership among all movies and series on the service, only surpassed by “Kholop 2”. This information was released by the press service of TNT channel.
On Kinopoisk, “Nasha Russia. March 8th” was watched by 900,000 subscribers of Plus. Considering that Kinopoisk subscriptions are often shared within families or groups of friends, the actual audience is estimated to be even larger than the subscriber count. “Nasha Russia” became the top film during the holiday weekend on the online cinema and established an absolute record for television projects debuting on Kinopoisk.
Among all films and series, it holds the second-fastest audience growth, with only “Kholop 2” achieving a quicker accumulation of viewers. “Kholop 2,” also released on Kinopoisk on March 8th, reached 1.4 million viewers within two days. Furthermore, when including the audience from the “Channels” section, where “Nasha Russia” premiered simultaneously with its TNT broadcast, the musical film’s total viewership exceeded 1 million.
On TNT channel itself, “Nasha Russia. March 8th” was broadcast twice. According to the press service, the March 7th broadcast at 10:00 PM attracted 5.4 million viewers, and the repeat showing on March 8th increased the reach to 8.26 million. A third broadcast is scheduled for March 11th.
In “Nasha Russia. March 8th,” Sergey Svetlakov and Mikhail Galustyan reprise their iconic roles from the sketch comedy show that ran from 2006 to 2011. The new film also features appearances from stars of Russian cinema and pop music.
