Both fighters are celebrated for their toughness and relentless pressure, promising a chaotic and fan-friendly spectacle on the card.

This blockbuster triple-headliner signifies a pivotal expansion for MVP and Netflix into the MMA landscape, building on the success of their global boxing events. The card, featuring Diaz vs. Perry, Ngannou vs. Lins, and Rousey vs. Carano, boasts an unparalleled concentration of star power and brings together some of the most recognizable and dangerous athletes in combat sports history.

Nate Diaz, hailing from Stockton, California, stands as a generational icon in combat sports, revered for his raw attitude, perseverance, and skill. His legendary rivalry with Conor McGregor set unprecedented records in MMA. Post-UFC, Diaz launched Real Fight, Inc. and continued to draw massive crowds in high-profile bouts against Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal.

Commenting on his return, Nate Diaz expressed, “Glad to be back in action. It’s time… I got plans on doing a lot more in the next 10 years… Time to set the bar again, so get ready for a new takeover.”

Mike “Platinum” Perry, recognized as one of the most formidable fighters in combat sports, makes his return to MMA following an impactful career spanning UFC, Triad Combat, boxing, and bare-knuckle boxing. With 11 KOs among his 14 UFC wins, Perry later dominated the bare-knuckle scene, achieving an undefeated 5-0 record in BKFC. His notable victories include KOs over Luke Rockhold, Eddie Alvarez (earning him 2023 BKFC Male Fighter of the Year), and Thiago Alves, alongside a boxing bout against Jake Paul. He recently secured a TKO win over Jeremy Stephens in October 2025.

Mike Perry, “The King of Violence,” stated, “The King of Violence returns to MMA… Saturday, May 16th, on Netflix, Nate Diaz is going lights out.”

Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions, expressed confidence in setting new viewership records for MMA, building on MVP’s successful boxing events. Bidarian emphasized the anticipated “war” between Nate Diaz, the “Real BMF,” and Mike Perry, the “King of Violence,” highlighting the May 16th event in Los Angeles as a monumental night for combat sports and acknowledging Netflix’s partnership.
