The esports organization Natus Vincere (NAVI) has officially launched a new division for the game League of Legends. The team is set to compete in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC), the premier European franchised league. This development was confirmed by Riot Games through an announcement on their official website.
NAVI has acquired the LEC slot previously held by Rogue, an organization that had been participating in the European league since 2019 and reportedly began exploring sale options in 2024. The specific financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. As part of the agreement, all existing Rogue staff, including management and coaching personnel, along with the entire League of Legends roster, will transition to operate under the NAVI tag. The team is scheduled to debut under the Natus Vincere banner in the upcoming LEC Summer Split, which is set to commence on August 2nd.
This marks a return to League of Legends for NAVI, which previously fielded a roster that competed in the Continental League (LCL). However, that division was closed down in 2016 after the last team was disbanded. In the 2025 competitive season, Rogue finished tenth in both the Winter and Spring splits of the LEC. Reports suggest that some players agreed to reduced salaries to remain with the team under the new NAVI organization.
