Netflix Announces Remake of Stephen King’s “Cujo”

The streaming giant Netflix has revealed plans to produce a remake of the horror movie “Cujo.” The announcement was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

“Cujo” is based on the chilling novel by acclaimed author Stephen King, originally published in 1981. The story centers around a gentle St. Bernard dog that tragically transforms into a terrifying monster after contracting rabies, leading to horrifying events as it begins to prey on people. Currently, details regarding the release timeline and casting choices for this new adaptation remain under wraps. However, it has been confirmed that Roy Lee, known for his work on horror hits like “Doctor Sleep” and “It,” will be taking on the role of producer for this project.

The first cinematic adaptation of “Cujo” premiered in 1983. This initial film garnered a rating of 6.1 out of 10 from IMDb users and a 6.4 out of 10 from visitors to the Russian film site KinoPoisk.
