New Classic-Inspired Survival Horror Game Announced for Sega Dreamcast

While many eagerly anticipate a rumored remake of Resident Evil – Code: Veronica, a former horror heavyweight on the Dreamcast, a new contender is emerging that promises to recapture the essence of classic survival horror.

Philippe Nguyen, producer at PixelHeart and JoshProd, recently confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that his team has begun development on a brand-new 3D survival horror game specifically for the Dreamcast. Nguyen describes the upcoming title as featuring “Fixed cameras. Dark atmosphere,” and proudly labels it “A love letter to the classics.”

As development has “just begun,” it will likely be some time before we see concrete signs of life or gameplay. Nevertheless, fans of the console and genre have reason to be excited, hoping this new adventure will prove to be a memorable addition to one of gaming’s most beloved consoles.
