Newcastle Target Justin Kluivert as Possible Isak Successor

Newcastle United have been closely monitoring Bournemouth winger Justin Kluivert as a potential replacement for star striker Alexander Isak. The Magpies have scouted Kluivert’s last five matches as they prepare contingency plans in case Isak departs this summer.

Kluivert, son of former Newcastle striker Patrick Kluivert, has impressed for Bournemouth this season with 11 Premier League goals. His strong form has also attracted interest from Arsenal.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe faces a challenge to retain Isak, who is reportedly a target for Arsenal and Barcelona. The Swedish forward has scored 17 goals this campaign and may be tempted by a big-money move if Newcastle fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Kluivert joined Bournemouth from Roma for £9.5 million last summer as manager Andoni Iraola’s first signing. The 25-year-old Dutch winger has been key to Bournemouth’s push for European qualification this season.

While Newcastle fans may have mixed feelings after Kluivert’s recent hat-trick against them at St James’ Park, his potential arrival could help soften the blow if Isak departs. Kluivert is also hoping his Bournemouth form can earn him a recall to the Netherlands national team.
