Nightfall Reveals His Drive to Play Dota 2

Egor `Nightfall` Grigorenko, a key player for Aurora Gaming`s Dota 2 squad, recently shared insights into what continues to motivate him at the pinnacle of professional play. The seasoned esports athlete highlighted his profound passion for Valve`s renowned MOBA title. Nightfall expressed his thoughts during an appearance on the official English-language broadcast covering BLAST Slam III.

Honestly, my motivation is that I just love Dota. It`s my entertainment. I enjoy playing public matches. There aren`t many things in the world I love besides Dota. But, let`s say, if I don`t play for a month, I`ll go crazy. In fact, I don`t think I`ve gone more than a week without playing Dota in the past five years.

So, firstly, it`s just my entertainment. Secondly, I love competing. I have a competitive nature; I hate losing and absolutely love winning, especially in tournaments.

Grigorenko and his team are preparing for their next major competition, DreamLeague Season 26. The event is scheduled to run from May 19 to June 1, bringing together 16 elite teams to battle for a significant one-million-dollar prize pool.
