Regian ‘The Immortal’ Eersel has once again become a two-division world champion after a spectacular five-round fight against Alexis ‘Barboza’ Nicolas.
In the main event of ONE Fight Night 25, held in Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, the Dutch-Surinamese fighter secured a unanimous decision victory. This win allowed him to regain the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title, which he had previously lost to Nicolas earlier this year.
Eersel, 31, now proudly holds both the ONE Championship lightweight kickboxing and Muay Thai world titles.
Eersel immediately took the initiative, pressuring Nicolas from the start of the fight.

Although Nicolas attempted to counter, ‘The Immortal’ allowed him little space, consistently landing effective strikes such as leg kicks, knees, jabs, and crosses to the face.
Nicolas increased his offensive output in the later championship rounds, but Eersel maintained relentless pressure until the final bell, securing his victory.
This victory marks Eersel’s return to winning form after his impressive 22-fight win streak was broken by ‘Barboza’ at ONE Fight Night 21 in April.
For Nicolas, this fight represents the first loss in his professional career.

Pirnie Suffers First Defeat in 11 Years
Earlier in the event, Shir Cohen of Israel put on a strong performance, defeating Scotland’s Amy Pirnie, who experienced her first loss in 11 years.
Pirnie began confidently in the 119.25-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout, landing several powerful leg kicks and controlling the distance.
However, Cohen increased her intensity in the second round, effectively countering Pirnie’s kicks with superior boxing skills.

This pattern continued into the third round, with the Israeli fighter securing a unanimous decision victory. Cohen’s record improves to 10-1, with a 3-0 record in ONE Championship.
Pirnie, who joined ONE as a highly decorated European Muay Thai athlete, sees her 22-fight winning streak end. Her professional record now stands at 27-5.
