PGL Singapore Major: Third Place Match and Tournament Format
The PGL Singapore Major, one of the final Counter-Strike 2 tournaments of this calendar year, is set to take place in Singapore from November 24th to December 13th. This event will feature 32 of the world’s top teams, and regarding who might be invited, we now have an idea of who could be heading to the competition.
In a blog post, PGL confirmed that the participating teams will be selected based on the latest Valve regional rankings information after November 2nd. Essentially, only the highest-ranked teams will be invited and will compete for a share of the $1.25 million prize pool presented at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Separately, it’s mentioned that the event will be the first PGL Major to feature a third-place decider match, which will determine which team walks away with a slightly larger cash prize.
