Liverpool, managed by Arne Slot, are currently leading the title race, 12 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal.

The Reds will host Arsenal in their second to last home game of this season.

Out of their remaining eight matches, Liverpool needs just 13 more points to secure the title, regardless of other teams` results.

Anfield is now scheduled to host Arsenal on Sunday, May 11, with the match kicking off at 4:30 PM.

The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

If results go in their favor, Liverpool might clinch the Premier League title while playing against Arsenal.

However, it is more likely that Liverpool will be officially presented with the trophy at home against Crystal Palace on May 25, the last day of the season.

If Liverpool wins the title, it would be the first time since May 1990 that the club’s fans will witness their team lifting the trophy in person.

Liverpool`s previous title victory in 2020 happened during COVID restrictions, with no fans allowed in Anfield for celebrations.

In another schedule change, Arsenal, led by Mikel Arteta, will now play against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, April 23, at 8 PM.

This London derby was rescheduled because Crystal Palace qualified for the FA Cup semi-finals.

Similarly, Manchester City, another FA Cup semi-finalist, will now host Aston Villa on Tuesday, April 22, while Nottingham Forest will play against Brentford on Thursday, May 1.

Nottingham Forest has been a surprise this season, and their match at City Ground will start earlier at 7:30 PM.

Brentford’s match against Manchester United has been moved to Sunday, May 4, due to Nottingham Forest’s FA Cup run.
