PSG Player Ratings: Doue Stars in Historic Champions League Final Victory

Paris Saint-Germain dominated Inter Milan to secure their first-ever Champions League trophy.

Luis Enrique`s team overwhelmed Inter in the first half and maintained their advantage against their underperforming Serie A opponents.

Achraf Hakimi scored against his former club, giving PSG the lead in the 12th minute.

Brilliant young talent Desire Doue doubled his side`s lead after just 20 minutes, putting PSG firmly in control.

Sensational young star Doue netted his second goal shortly after the hour mark, followed by late contributions from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu.

Gianluigi Donnarumma – 6

Largely a spectator for most of the first half. Any potential Inter openings were quickly shut down by his defenders or failed to be capitalised upon by the opposition.

He wasn`t required to make a single save in the first 45 minutes.

Looked slightly unsure with a couple of crosses after halftime but still didn`t register a save until the 75th minute, reacting well to deny Thuram.

Achraf Hakimi – 8

Pushed high from the start, putting Inter on the defensive and neutralizing their apparent midfield advantage.

It was fitting that he was in position to capitalize when his teammates broke down the Inter defense for the opening goal.

At times, his attacking runs risked exposing his team, but ultimately it didn`t cause any significant issues.

Marquinhos – 7

The sole member of PSG`s defense who occasionally looked a little vulnerable in the first half, but only briefly when Marcus Thuram used pace to get past him.

Otherwise, he formed a reliable partnership with Pacho, enabling the full-backs, especially Hakimi, to push forward effectively.

Read the game effectively, making timely interceptions.

Willian Pacho – 9

Asserted dominance over Thuram and Lautaro Martinez from the outset. Used his strength and physicality effectively to win aerial duels and close down potential threats.

His determination to keep the ball in play near the corner flag was instrumental in leading to his team`s second goal.

Made several crucial interventions as Inter showed slight improvement, maintaining his focus and commitment throughout the match.

Nuno Mendes – 7

Set the tone early by winning a contested ball against Thuram, who seemed less committed to the challenge.

Less adventurous in attack compared to Hakimi, often tucking inside to form a back three or create a midfield overload.

It`s telling that Inter`s standout player of the tournament, Denzel Dumfries, was rendered ineffective.

Joao Neves – 8

Worked as diligently as his midfield colleagues, focusing on the less glamorous defensive aspects of the game without the ball.

Displayed intelligent positioning, knowing when to press and when to block passing lanes, as Inter struggled to establish any rhythm.

Inter`s midfield trio of Mkhitaryan, Barella, and Calhanoglu likely grew tired of his constant presence.
