Raddan Shares What Motivates Him to Continue His Career After Winning Two TIs

Team Spirit`s Dota 2 player, Ilya “Raddan” Mulyarchuk, recently discussed what drives him to continue his professional career, even after achieving the pinnacle of success by winning The International twice. According to the esports athlete, his primary motivation isn`t solely tied to tournament victories.

In an interview with BLAST, Raddan explained, “My motivation isn`t connected to tournaments. I simply love this game and will play as long as I can. During the break [presumably the post-TI break], I realized that all I need is to win with a good team, be around cool people, and have fun.”

When asked if he feels the urge to retire (“hang up his mouse”), considering his age and potential desire to pursue other interests, Raddan dismissed the notion. “Despite the demanding schedule, I think playing in tournaments is cool,” he responded. “I don`t see the point in thinking about retirement hobbies like swimming or fishing; I`m only concerned with the opportunity to play Dota 2. To play more, play better, and play at a high level.”

Team Spirit`s next event is BLAST Slam III, scheduled to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from May 6th to 11th. The tournament will feature a total prize pool of one million dollars.
