Raiz Comments on Donk’s Eighth MVP Award

Esports content creator Evgeny “Raiz” shared his thoughts regarding Danil “donk” Kryshkovets achieving the eighth MVP award of his career, earned at the recent PGL Astana 2025 tournament. Raiz expressed his views in a video posted on YouTube.

Eighth MVP for donk. That`s already a third of what ZywOo accumulated over ten years, keeping in mind donk has only been on the pro scene for about a year. It`s also worth noting how Team Spirit truly looks like a cohesive team. Clutches like chopper`s 1v3 and donk`s 1v4 – if that happened at a Major, they`d get graffiti. Overall, it`s a big day for the whole CIS CS scene.

In the grand final of PGL Astana 2025, Team Spirit faced off against Astralis. The match concluded with Team Spirit winning 3-1, with map scores of 13:5 on Dust2, 13:10 on Nuke, 5:13 on Mirage, and 16:13 on Train. The squad from the CIS region secured the first-place prize of $200,000, and donk was notably recognized as the tournament`s Most Valuable Player.

Donk made his debut on the Tier 1 professional scene towards the end of 2023. Since then, Kryshkovets has received eight tournament MVP awards and was named HLTV`s Player of the Year. In comparison, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut has been competing professionally since 2018. Throughout his career, Herbaut has earned 25 MVP titles and has been named Player of the Year three times.

The PGL Astana 2025 tournament took place in Kazakhstan from May 10th to 18th. The championship featured 16 competing teams and offered a total prize pool of $625,000.
