Real Madrid is reportedly intensifying their efforts to sign Dean Huijsen this summer. This comes after the Bournemouth defender, aged 19, was called up to the Spanish national team.
Huijsen, a teenager, received his first senior call-up for Spain due to an injury to Barcelona’s Inigo Martinez.

Spain is scheduled to play against the Netherlands away on Thursday, followed by a home game in Valencia on Sunday for the Nations League quarter-finals.
The current European champions have been closely watching the progress of the Amsterdam-born center-back at Bournemouth throughout this season.
Real Madrid scouts are expected to use the upcoming international break to further assess Huijsen, who has had an impressive debut season in the Premier League.
Bournemouth acquired Huijsen, 19, from Juventus last summer for a fee of £15 million.
He has been instrumental in Bournemouth’s strong performances this season, contributing to their push for European qualification in the Premier League.
Huijsen scored his first Premier League goal on December 5 against Tottenham and followed up with another goal 17 days later against Manchester United.
Manchester United is also reportedly monitoring Huijsen and considering a summer transfer move.
Bournemouth currently sits tenth in the league after a 2-1 defeat to Brentford on Saturday.

Huijsen chose to represent Spain after moving from the Netherlands to Marbella at the age of five.
He previously played for the Netherlands at the Under 16-19 levels but has since made seven appearances for Spain’s U-21 team.
He was initially scheduled to play for Spain’s U-21s against the Czech Republic this Friday.
